Kay's family have long been her muses and models - her mother has been her model for forty years and her husband for sixteen. And when nobody is around to rope into a shot, there is always the self. Or the dog.

During lockdowns, the emotional turmoil of the time was played out through the lens with Kay's husband, Rick, as her willing accomplice, to help her express what they and society were feeling.
